The optional Smart Paste add-on facilitates the organized delivery of documentation package from suppliers into a work breakdown structure (WBS) in Kronodoc. In the typical scenario, the supplier uploads documents (possibly including new revisions) into a folder structure that is separate from the WBS. The workspace owner then copies or moves the uploaded documents into the correct folders within the WBS in a single operation. New documents are created and new versions of existing documents are created as necessary. The workflow of this process is illustrated in the following figure.
The Smart Paste add-on determines the destination WBS folders and prior document versions based on specific properties of the documents. Smart Paste finds corresponding documents in the WBS for replacement or creates new documents in the appropriate folders if a corresponding document cannot be found.
Smart Paste supports two modes:
When used together with Kronodoc change notifications, updating the contents of the work breakdown structure triggers notifications to the appropriate users.
Note The Smart Paste add-on must be installed and configured on the Kronodoc server by a system administrator to use these features. You can verify this by a Smart Paste link on the Clipboard menu.
